LBPOA Member's Litter Control Program
Beach Box Information
by Libby Gardner

The Beach Box Litter Control Program for Litchfield Beaches was started in the summer 2002 and has proven to be an asset in the control of litter on our beaches.  It was jointly implemented by the LBPOA  and GEORGETOWN COUNTY.  This program has also proven that residents and visitors do care for our oceanfront and on the succeeding rows of streets.  Other beachfront communities have improved their litter status by following our example.

Trash receptacles and litter bags are stationed at every public walkway.  please use the litter bags to collect trash & dog waste for disposal in the trash cans.  Unwanted beach chairs & sunshades can be disposed of in the same collection areas.
